30 reasons why to use an M-Bus interface

I)	Technical reasons

	1.)	Simple two wire bus interface for slave devices
	2.)	Integrated remote powering of all slave interfaces
	3.)	Optional integrated remote powering of slave devices (3.3V, 0.6mA each)
	4.)	Slave device powering optionally from bus, battery or external/mains
	5.)	Up to 250 slave devices per segment
	6.)	Interchangable polarity
	7.)	Arbitrary bus topologie (star, tree, net)
	8.)	Maximum segment size: 1000m (f?r <=9600 Baud)
	9.)	Maximum distance for 250 devices with standard telephone wiring: 350m 
	10.)	Maximum distance for 1 device: 10km
	11.)	Larger nets/systems possible via transparent repeaters
	12.)	Transmission baudrates: 300-38 400 Baud (includes mixed baudrate operation)
	13.)	Isolation by isolated construction or via optocouplers
