The DSP which should be used in this application is the Texas 320 LF 2407
in a PGEA housing. It has an integrated A/D converter with 10 bit
resolution and 0.5uS sampling time .
It has an on-chip 2.5 k RAM and an external RAMof 64 k for data and 64k
for program. Flash is 32k.
The application is to detect the frequency of an exponentially decaying
cosine oscillation, created by a flashover in a cable. There is a separate
paper , Auswertung_21.doc, which describes in german the principle of
operation. The basic information is contained in §4.
