Nahodou jsem narazil v nejakem PDFku ze stranek intelu - Technical reference k mainboardu D845BG/PT - na nasledujici text:

2.13 Reliability
The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) prediction is calculated using component and
subassembly random failure rates. The calculation is based on the Bellcore Reliability Prediction
Procedure, TR-NWT-000332, Issue 4, September 1991. The MTBF prediction is used to estimate
repair rates and spare parts requirements.
The MTBF data is calculated from predicted data at 55 şC. The MTBF calculations for the boards
are as follows:
• D845BG board MTBF: 140818.2951 hours
• D845PT board MTBF: 143991.3836 hours

MTFB je cesky zrejme "stredni doba mezi poruchami". Pokud si hodiny prepocitam na roky, vychazi mi 16 let. Cucaj si ty cisla z prstu? To fak zivostnost mainboardu je celych 16 let? Tak dlouho snad nevydrzi ani kondiky ve zdroji pro CPU... (no mozna vydrzi, ale budou mit mensi kapacitu / vetsi svod a CPU se bude napriklad kousat...).
